Appointments are available 6 days a week. All cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Evaluations

Prior to starting any kind of training, I will evaluate your dog in their comfort zone. This usually means I will come out to your home to do this. The evaluation is necessary to help me determine where we need to start with the training program for this individual dog and his owner, it also helps me to understand the daily routine and place of the dogs activities. The evaluations take anywhere from 1 hour to 1 and 1/2 hours, and the fee is $50.00 per hour (plus travel fees for clients outside the Pullman area at $50 per hour.) Multiple dog discounts available

Board and Training

Your dog can stay with us overnight and enjoy training and doggie play groups (when appropriate) throughout the day. Since you are a very important part of the training process please be prepared to have follow up sessions with your trainer so you can maintain and improve upon the good foundation your trainer will set in your dog. Board training, is in the trainer's home, and the fee starts at $75 per day depending on the needs of the dog. All breeds are welcome, from the toughest Maltese to the gentlest Mastiff. Motivational training is my preferred method of training. For more information or questions you may have regarding dog training in Pullman, WA and the surrounding areas, please call or e-mail us.

Police/Service K-9 Training (Contact for pricing)

Service dog training is available for law enforcement agency's and their affiliates, therapy dog training is also available for hospitals and other institutions. Whether your training demands fully trained Patrol/Utility, Explosive and Narcotic detection, Tracking/Trailing K-9s or Green Canines/Imports, we have the background and experience to complete the task. Most all of the trained canines from I Guard International have gone on to pass other Nationally recognized standards (AWDA, NAPWADA.) We offer a variety of training courses and services to help you achieve your departments goals. Our 100% guarantee assures your department of only the finest working team. Because many departments lose their Police K-9s due to poorly trained dogs, or the lack of in-service maintenance training, we offer re-training courses, consultations and maintenance training at our facility or on the job as part of the canine purchase.

Personal Protection Training (Contact for pricing)

We teach your dog the difference between normal and aggressive behavior from strangers. This means that when someone becomes a threat to you or your family, your dog will automatically become alert and protective of its family and territory. The options for a protection dog are personal protection, search and hold protection, and estate and article protection dogs. Article protection means you can leave your dog next to any object as small as your wallet and as large as your vehicle, and once the dog is told to watch the article no one should be able to remove it from its place. For example: You can be playing with your child at a park and then need to take a restroom break. Your dog will stay with your children and protect them until you return. Most dogs are very loyal to their owner/handler and once that bond is created, owners will feel safe and secure knowing that their trained k9 is protecting them 24 hours a day. With proper training, our dogs are capable of guarding houses, warehouses, or construction sites, even if they are occupied. It adds peace of mind to have a dog that will protect you, your family and your estate with its life, no matter what the consequences.

Contact us to inquire about a personal protection dog. We can either train your own dog, or find one for you and train it for protection.

Due to the consequences and responsibilities that coincide with owning a personal protection dog, personal protection training will only be available to approved owners/handlers. Prospective owners must pass a background check and evaluation by I-guard International. I-Guard International or any one connected to or with will not be responsible for any and all of the dog(s) behavior prior or post training.

Crate Training

Crate training is an effective method for potty training your dog. A crate does three very important things. First it will make the housebreaking process go a little more smoothly by teaching the puppy where to go to relieve himself. By using its own natural instincts the puppy will not urinate where it sleeps, provided you do your part. Secondly it will relieve the stress of being alone while you are away at work. Third it will get you through the teething stage when your puppy will want to chew on every thing.
